I just love this quote. And I appreciate that it was said by Steve Jobs. I read his book a few months back, and I was inspired on how hard he worked. He may have been rigid to work with, but, none-the-less, he loved what he did and produced great work.

As a designer, I wake up every day excited about work. Actually, can you even call it work if you love what you’re doing? Anyways, I love it. If someone inquirers about a job and I don’t think I will be the right designer for the project, I won’t take it. I want to give 150% to all the jobs that I take so I’ll continue to love what I do. I’ve been in places before where I am working on a project that I hate. I feel like I have no creativity or confidence because I am not performing at my best. But when I love what I’m working on, oh boy, it is great!

No matter what you are doing right now, love it. You may be living your “dream life” and working your “perfect job” or you may be in between jobs and waiting for your big break. No matter where you are, love the season you’re in. When you start to have a positive attitude, the things around you seem great, and you’re able to flourish at your best.

  1. I agree 100%. I love what I do and not everyone is fortunate enough to have that opportunity. I think it’s important to take the chance if you can and follow the path to your dream career. I always thought I would be doing something completely different with my life (hello medical school) but here I am and I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world.
