I’m going to be completely honest. Last week I hit a wall. I exercised all my planned out days but I was feeling discouraged every workout. During Crossfit, I didn’t feel strong, & on my runs, I felt like all my endurance went on vacation. It was frustrating &  hard to push through. I could blame it on the overtime I’ve put in lately with work or the late nights hanging with friends but that would do me no good. All I knew is if I stopped, I wasn’t starting again. So I made some adjustments, and I pushed through. I had to go on a few very painful run yesterday but now that I mentally pushed myself, I feel stronger than ever. This week I’m gonna hit a stride, I made it over one of the mountains in my training journey.

This week is a new week & its going to be awesome!

Monday: 3.5 mile run
Tuesday: Crossfit
Wednesday: 4 mile run
Thursday: Crossfit
Friday: Rest
Saturday: 5 mile run
Sunday: 3 mile run

Creating a healthy habit isn’t always easy. You find yourself mentally & physically pushing through, but they pay off. Walking through some discouragement made me push harder to get over it.

Few things that have helped me:

Write it out
I know my goal. I write out all my workouts on Sunday and put it in my calendar. I am reminded all day that it’s there, and when it’s in the calendar, its set in stone!

Find Motivation
Maybe you need to add some new songs to your playlist or change up your scenery. Whatever you need do to be motivated, find it. This changes everything when you are fired up and passionate.

My goal is to run a half marathon in November. You may want to ride 50 miles on your bike or read a book a month. Whatever it is, be inspired because you aren’t doing it by yourself! I would love to hear what you pushed through and now have as a part of your daily life. Or what is something you are trying to do right now? I would love to hear & be inspired by your journey.
